Melissa earns a copy of The Beat Handbook

Last night at Major's, during the Kerouac Pub Crawl, Melissa whispered, "Rumplestiltskin," earning her a signed copy of The Beat Handbook. How cool is that? Above is a pic of me, Melissa, Todd, and Judy.

P.S. Todd is a professor at UMass Lowell who is doing the keynote today. See you there.

P.S.S. As usual, photography by Crystal. Thanks, sweetie.

I have to say, I'm pretty proud of myself! We had such a great time this weekend - thought we'd catch you last night at the Social Club, but we only got there as the band was winding up. It was really great meeting you and we hope to see you next year! Until then, I'll be enjoying both your blog AND your book...

Melissa, we ran out of steam after dinner on Saturday. Tell Todd we really enjoyed his lecture. UMass Lowell is lucky to have him in the faculty! We hope to see you all next year, too. Keep in touch!

Great to see you on here Melissa! We felt that watching Howl on Netflix at the hotel would redeem us for crashing early. Loved it! Hope to see you all next year. Our best to Todd and Nancy.

I'm so glad you decided to watch Howl! Todd actually just showed it to his Beat class last week, and we just watched it again last night. The ending is so beautifully done... Todd decided to read "Footnote to Howl" at Jack's gravesite last week. We look forward to seeing you guys next year too! It's going to be a good one...

I need to watch it again - I must admit I snoozed during some of it (not because it wasn't good, but because I'm old and trying to stay awake at night is tough).
